This is me, Roxane, on the left and on the
right you will find my mom, Mamita.
I was born and raised on Curacao but both
my parents were born and raised on
Bonaire. The same applies for my
grandparents, their grandparents and so
on, they all grew up on Bonaire and namely
in the village Rincon.

Mamita calls herself not only a Bonairean
but above all she calls herself a Rinconero
(someone originating from Rincon) and she
is very proud of that.
Even though I did not grow up on Bonaire
and I now live in Europe, I still think of
Bonaire as a very nice island and Rincon
as a lovely place to be.
When I was still a child we used to regularly
visit Bonaire for long periods of time and I
loved it. Nowadays I visit Bonaire less often
but every time I get a chance to go to the
Caribbean I include almost always a visit
to Bonaire.

Recently I was looking on the internet for
information about Rincon when I found out
that there is very little information available
about Rincon. Most information is about
diving.
Diving is rightly reason number one to visit Bonaire
but there is of course much more to Bonaire than
only the Bonairean under water world, for example
Rincon. This nice small village is surely worthy of a
visit during your holiday on Bonaire.

As we love Rincon and we know you would for sure,
once you visited it, we came up with this internet
site.
We hope that RINCONERO will give you enough
reasons to visit our beloved Rincon!
